Under the Strategic Goal 2 Generate and Share Knowledge the WACDEP Programme of GWP China Region stresses cross-regional cooperation, network with different provinces, sectors and organizations.
GWP WA is a member of the UNEP-DHI/GWP-WA consortium in charge of the mission to support the establishment of the ECOWAS Regional Water Observatory. A workshop was held in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire on 4 & 5 September 2018 with country focal points on data collection.
The workshop to kick-off the regional Programme on advancing investment for Food and Nutrition Security (FNS)– in Water - Energy – Food – Ecosystem (WEFE) Nexus in West Africa was held in Bamako, Mali from 11 to 13 December 2017.

The Open Government Indonesia (OGI) is part of the global initiative, the Open Government Partnership. The Open Government Partnership (OGP) is a multilateral initiative that aims to secure concrete commitments from national and subnational governments to promote open government, empower citizens, fight corruption, and harness new technologies to strengthen governance.
The Volta Basin Authority (VBA) held from 9 to 11 April 2019 the 4th session of the Forum of Parties which is a platform bringing together in addition to the VBA member States representatives of major stakeholders including farmers, women, youth associations, private sector, NGOs, etc. active in the basin.
On Monday 8 April 2019, at Korea Global Adaptation Week, GWP launched the publication "Addressing Water in National Adaptation Plans – Water Supplement to the UNFCCC NAP Technical Guidelines". The launch event was co-hosted by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and GWP.
