GWP is collaborating with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) secretariat and other partners to create a vision and plausible water solutions of a desirable climate-resilient future in 2030 and beyond. The new initiative is called "Water Resilience Frontiers: Pathways for transformational Climate Resilient Water Security in 2030 and Beyond". The initiative is part of the UNFCCC Nairobi Work Programme’s Resilience Frontiers. The UNFCCC is convening a Resilience Lab for the duration of COP25. The GovernAgua project: "Transforming water governance in South America: from reaction to adaptation and anticipation” was launched on 26 July. The regional event, supported by GWP South America, took place at the SARAS Institute headquarters (South American Institute for Resilience and Sustainability Studies) and it was broadcast online.
August 25-30, 2019, GWP had a strong presence at this year’s Stockholm World Water Week (WWW). A large delegation participated in over 30 sessions, and the GWP Strategy for 2020-2025 was launched at a side event. Youth Professionals’ booth – was jointly hosted by GWP and Asian Development Bank (ADB), sharing youth engagement stories and operation model by GWP China, ASEAN, GWPO, ADB youth and water teams, Central Asia Youth for Water Network and Water Youth Network.

GWP co-designed a webinar series on farmer-led irrigation (FLI) in partnership with the World Bank, the International Water Management Institute, and the Daugherty Water for Food Global Institute. The 2-part series, which concluded on 9 July, highlighted the need for innovative water solutions to support agricultural production systems in a changing climate. FLI development has gained increased attention as one of the solutions to build climate resilience for smallholder farmers. GWP is involved with stakeholders in several countries on FLI initiatives.
The East Africa Water Summit (EAWATERS) is an annual multi-stakeholder water community engagement platform in East Africa. The 4th edition of the Summit is held 21-22 November in Nairobi, Kenya.
The Country Water Partnership (CWP) of Mali have worked on Saturday 14 November 2019 to refine the country proposal for the SDG 6.5.1 Support Programme.
