Under the Integrating Agriculture in National Adaptation Plans programme (“NAP-Ag”), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) are working together with ministries of Agriculture, Environment, Planning and Finance, and key national stakeholders in selected countries to incorporate agricultural sectors into National Adaptation Plans (NAPs) processes.

Dali, 20 December 2018 -- Taking place back to back with the Workshop on Flood Control and Drought Relief Technology of Lancang-Mekong Water Resources Cooperation that was held between 17-20 December, the 2 days workshop provided the participants with a basic skills on carried out a shared vision planning to support the development of joint proposal development for Lancang-Mekong River Basin. Jointly organized by the Global Water Partnership, the International Secretariat for Water and UNESCO-IHP, the session “How can intergenerational dialogue facilitate youth inclusion in decision making?” was held on 29 August 2019 at World Water Week 2019.

Sida, Sweden’s International Development Cooperation Agency, and one of GWP’s founding Partners, held its annual development forum on 14 October. This year, the event highlighted gender and the inequalities that still exist around the topic. This aligns with GWP’s Gender Strategy.

The Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Simone Lewis, as its new Regional Coordinator. Ms. Lewis who is from Grenada, will assume office on October 1st, 2018.

The project titled "Integrating Flood and Drought Management and Early Warning for Climate Change Adaptation in the Volta Basin’’, for which the development process started in 2015 and received great support and contributions from Volta Basin Authority Executive Secretariat and institutions from the six Volta Basin riparian countries, has been approved for funding from the Adaptation Fund during the 23rd meeting of the Project and Program Evaluation Committee (PPRC) of the Fund held from 9 to 11 October, 2018 in Bonn, Germany.
