The annual GWP Network Meeting 2015 was held as a virtual event for the first time on 1 June in Stockholm, Sweden. GWP Partners worldwide were invited to get the latest update on the network activities through a live stream. The event was also recorded and is now available on the GWP YouTube channel.

On June 8, 2017, marked the ten-year history of cooperation between Hebei Province and South Holland on water resources development, and thereby celebrating the anniversary in Shijiazhuang, the capital city of Hebei Province.

The call for quotations involves the supply and installation of equipment ICW for the water reservoir located at the Ministry for Gozo within the framework of the Non Conventional Water Resources Programme in Malta, Alter Aqua.

GWPSA facilitated the LIMCOM Technical Task Team Meeting that was held to develop the Limpopo River Basin IWRM Plan 2016-2020.  The workshop took place in Johannesburg on the 6^th and 7^th of April, 2016. The 2016-2020 plan follows the 2011-2015 IWRM LIMCOM Plan that came to an end in 2015 and had adopted a comprehensive approach to Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) through three strategic areas, namely: i) Water Governance, ii) Water Management and iii) Water Resources Development. It was against these areas that the new plan would be developed.

From 8-9 October 2015,  GWP Eastern Africa held its 20^th Regional Steering Committee  Meeting in Bugesera, Rwanda.

A team of GWP-WA and CWP Burkina PNE had on June 11, 2015 a visit to assess the level of implementation of work on the site of the WACDEP demonstration project in Burkina Faso. This project involves the drip irrigation techniques for the efficient management of agricultural water for the benefit of vulnerable populations in the municipality of Loumbila in the center of the country.
Since the last visit in April 2015 there has been plowing work, the installation of some drip irrigation and water pumping equipment with solar energy, among others.

On May 13, 2016, the MoU was signed between GWP China and other three Asian Regional Water Partnerships under the witness of all GWP family members in Stockholm, Sweden.

An important facet of the work of the Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) is to generate and communicate knowledge. We specifically encourage and support young people to be fully engaged in learning and sharing knowledge on water security and related issues.

On January 14, 2016,  Mr. Chen Lei, Minister, Ministry of Water Resources(MWR), accompanied by Mr Jiao Yong and Mr Zhou Xuewen , the Vice Ministers , director generals and related leaders of the MWR visited GWP China’s Host Institute in Beijing.
