The aim of the 1st International Conference on Urban Agriculture and City Sustainability is to review and discuss ways in which urban agriculture can contribute to achieving sustainable cities. It is held 9-11 October in New Forest, UK.
Objective:
To support countries to integrate water security and climate resilience – including reducing flood and drought risk – in development planning and decision-making processes, through enhanced technical and institutional capacity, as well as predictable financing and investments.
Activities under this focus area aim to promote gender mainstreaming in the water sector as part of implementing priority intervention P3.1 in the RSAP IV on IWRM in line with the SADC Gender Policy and the SADC Protocol on Gender and Development.
The High-Level International Conference on International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development, 2018-2028” will be held on 20-22 June in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.
