Youth Grow Professionally with GWP

GWP promotes youth inclusion in water resources management. One of those ways is through a robust internship programme. Civil Engineer Axel Martinez, 26, from Nicaragua, spent five months with GWP Central America as a Young Professional Development Initiative Intern under GWP’s Water, Climate and Development Programme (WACDEP). En Route to Implementing SDG 6 in Honduras

GWP WA at the 1st International Forum on Water Scarcity in Agriculture in Praia, Cape Verde

The first International Forum on Water Scarcity in Agriculture (WASAG) which gathered delegates from 47 countries ended with the Praia Commitments, which aim to promote sustainable water management as an engine for development, strengthening synergies across the Sustainable Development Agenda by 2030, and supporting farmers through improved access to finance, innovative technologies and the adoption of sustainable water management practices.

GWP WA Chair and Executive Secretary meet authorities and partners in Niger

The Chair, Executive Secretary and Communication and Knowledge Management Officer of GWP-WA paid a support visit to the Country Water Partnership (CWP) of Niger from 09 to 14 April 2018. The purpose of the visit was to provide support to the Niger CWP for greater visibility among the authorities and strategic partners in the country in order to accompany it in carrying out its missions. The delegation accompanied by the CWP had meetings with authorities and some strategic partners.
