Mekrou project holds 2nd and last regional coordination meeting in 2017

Joint Hands for Lancang-Mekong

For transboundary water collaboration of the Lancang-Mekong River Basin countries, GWP China Region and GWP Southeast Region, with the GWPO support, have set up a partnership with the Lancang-Mekong Water Resources Cooperation Center (LMWRCC). It has an initiative harvest in early December 2017.

Peer-to-Peer Learning in International Water Law and Water Governance

Good governance around transboundary waters is critical for water security, regional socio-economic development, peace, and stability. Since 2010, GWP has been conducting capacity building trainings on International Water Law (IWL) and water governance. While there is no shortage of trainings on transboundary water issues, the uniqueness of GWP’s IWL workshops lie in the peer-to-peer and cross-continental learning, says GWP Senior Network Specialist Yumiko Yasuda. This has proved to be a successful formula that GWP is now ready to take to the next level – an online platform to support existing training and close learning gaps.

High Level Meeting on Gender Equality and Social Inclusion in Water Resources Management

GWP is organising a one-day event together with the Department for International Development of the United Kingdom (DfID) and the Institute for Sustainable Futures of the University of Technology of Sydney (ISF-UTS) to discuss the mainstreaming of gender-equality issues in water-related policies, development and investment programmes.

GWPSEA in 2016 Singapore Water Week

 

The Singapore International Water Week (SIWW) is the global platform to share and co-create innovative water solutions. The biennial event gathers stakeholders from the global water industry to share best practices, showcase the latest technologies and tap business opportunities. SIWW is part of the strategic programme of the Singapore Government to grow the water industry and develop water technologies.

 

These events was organized by Singapore International Water Week Pte Ltd, a company set up by Singapore's Ministry of the Environment & Water Resources and PUB, Singapore’s national water agency. The 7th Singapore International Water Week held in conjunction with the 5th World Cities Summit and the 3rd CleanEnviro Summit Singapore, from 10 – 14 July 2016 at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.
