The SADC WEF Nexus Project

Phase I also aims at identifying concrete investment projects - with a focus on multi-purpose water infrastructure - which could be funded under Phase II. The SADC WEF Nexus Dialogue Project is a strategic fit in the implementation of SADC's Regional water, energy, food policies, strategies and action plans. It will also contribute in implementing SADC's Roadmap and Strategy for Industrialisation. The project is expected to promote better interaction and synergies between the water, food, and energy sectors in order to unlock and optimize development potential of the region for economic growth and transformation.

Côte d’Ivoire, draft Volta Basin Water Charter reviewed

A draft water charter was submitted for review by the Volta Basin Authority during a national workshop held on 05 and 06 July 2018 in Grand Bassam. The official ceremony was chaired by the Minister of Water and Forestry (MINEF), represented by Colonel ME Kouamé Martial, Deputy Director of Cabinet of the MINEF.

Meeting the new regional TEC chair

The September Assembly of Partners has renewed the organs by designed a new chair for GWP WA, a new executive secretary and also a new chair for regional technical committee. The two first had already met the staff and the turn was to the new RTEC chair, Dr. BARRY Boubacar on 18 November 2017.
