The consultation is scheduled to be held from 13.30pm onwards on 15 November 2018 at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMCH), Colombo.

The Global Water Partnership (GWP) in collaboration with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre (CCCCC) and with support from the IDB, will hold a Regional Workshop on “Transformational Climate Resilience Water Project Concepts in Latin America and the Caribbean for the Green Climate Fund.”

In June 2017, the Government of the Republic of South Africa, under the aegis of the High Level Panel on Water (HLPW) commissioned the Global Water Partnership (GWP) to develop a legacy initiative of the HLPW in Africa. In response, the Africa Water Investment Programme (AIP) was developed by GWP in collaboration with the African Development Bank (AfDB), the United Nations Development Programme Global Environment Facility (UNDP-GEF) and the HLPW Secretariat at the World Bank/UN.

The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and Global Water Partnership (GWP) are increasing their long-standing cooperation to strengthen water resource management at a time when climate change, population shifts and environmental degradation are leading to more stress on water supplies and more water-related hazards.

GWP Annual Report Files consist of the annual monitoring summary on: progress markers, logframe indicators, implementation of planned activities and self-assessment on progress around critical GWP functions. By wrapping up the annual performance, all RWPs are requested to draft out the the planned set of activities to be implemented in next year. The work plan files consist of context and workplan summary, detailed workplan and budget.

World Toilet Day, celebrated on 19 November, is about taking action to ensure that everyone has a safe toilet by 2030. This is part of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6: sanitation and water. Across India, the magnitude and intensity of extreme weather events like drought and floods is increasing. Such changes in climatic conditions affect a myriad of issues of which, access to water for drinking and domestic purposes and for agriculture affect farmer communities in South India the most, as majority of Indian farmers are dependent on rain fed agriculture.
