GWP South Asia attended a national key water sector stakeholder discussion held on 8 August 2019 in Colombo organised by the Programme Management Unit of the Mahaweli Water Security Investment Programme (MWSIP) under its consultancy package “Strengthening of Integrated Water Resources Management (SIWRM)” in Sri Lanka.
The Ministry of Mahaweli Development and Environment, Sri Lanka - as the National Designated Authority to the Green Climate Fund (GCF) - nominated GWP as the delivery partner for National Designated Authority (NDA) Readiness for 2020 under the GCF Readiness Programme.
Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) has for many years, recognised the critical importance of creating avenues for young people to become involved in water governance and management ventures. Development challenges in the Caribbean will ultimately be inherited by the region’s youth. Young people are providers of solutions and have ideas and energy to act for sustainable development.
