Professor Amadou Hama MAIGA is the new chair of Global Water Partnership West Africa (GWP-WA). It was proclaimed following a recruitment process approved by the Assembly of Partners on 29 September 2017 in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.

Mandaue City 24 November 2018 -- Philippines successfully organized a session during the 4th International River Summit “raising awareness, commitment and resources for the rivers”. The September Assembly of Partners has renewed the organs by designed a new chair for GWP WA, a new executive secretary and also a new chair for regional technical committee. The two first had already met the staff and the turn was to the new RTEC chair, Dr. BARRY Boubacar on 18 November 2017.
Anna Tari, Kristóf Stefán and Nikolett Szabó from Szent László Grammar School, Budapest won Hungarian Final of the Stockholm Junior Water Prize on 20 May with a project „Tanks of Water”.
