Mandaue City 24 November 2018 -- Philippines successfully organized a session during the 4th International River Summit “raising awareness, commitment and resources for the rivers”. The aim of the session was to articulate various experiences from experts on how IWRM complement river management initiatives.

The first Central African Hydrometeorological Forum was held from the 14th to the 16th of November 2018 in Libreville, Gabon, under the leadership of the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS) and the Government of Gabon.
Facilitated by the Central African Republic Country Water Partnership (CWP-CAR) , Central African Republic is the first country in the region to hold a stakeholder consultation workshop to validate the national monitoring report on indicator 6.5.1 of the Sustainable Development Goals. The workshop was organized by the Ministry of Energy and Water resources Development and GWP-CAR on July 1st,2020 in Bangui.
GWP has created the SDG Preparedness Facility (SDG-PF) to deepen and streamline efforts at country level to implement the SDGs. Building on the country-level consultations from Stage 2, the 3-year projects use SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) to achieve SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation).
