Aqua-Media International, in partnership with the International Commission on Large Dams, with the support of the Government of Morocco, has reconvened the next regional conference for Africa, AFRICA 2017, which will take place in Marrakech.

India Water Partnership (IWP) facilitated a Panel Discussion on ‘Role of Women and Youth in Water Security and inclusive growth’ on 14 October 2017 at Vigyan Bhavan during 5th India Water Week 2017 held New Delhi, India.

Global Water Partnership East Africa (GWP-EA) is collaborating with the Uganda Ministry of Water and Environment (MWE) to facilitate the development of the country’s Water National Adaptation Plan (Water NAP).

The annual GWP Network Meeting will be held on 11 October at 13.00 Central European Time (CET). It is a virtual meeting, to be broadcast on the GWP website www.gwp.org – with a special guest message from UN Deputy Secretary General (DSG) Jan Eliasson. The end of the rainy season has brought some very interesting news to farmers working with the Integrated Drought Management pilot project in the Mali central municipality of Gouendo. A field visit carried by the regional Project manager accompanied by the Permanent secretary of CWP Mali set a light encouraging results of the pilot action and the happiness of the beneficiaries.

The first phase of the Integrated Drought Management Project in West Africa (IDMP-WA) has come to an end last December with very promising results.

Many participants from West African countries took part in the International Water Law training in Kampala (Uganda) from 6 to 12 June 2016.
