Regional Capacity on Water Integrity in the MENA boosted further: 3rd Regional Training, Tunis, 7-8 December 2016, Tunis

#COP21 commonly referred to as the United Nations Climate Change Conference is the 21st Session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). #COP21 kicked off on November 30^th and runs until December 11th, 2015 in France. 

A critical component of Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) is the protection of our aquatic ecosystems, not only for anthropogenic benefits but also recognising the needs of the plants and animals that depend on these natural resources.

Each month, the Caribbean Water and Wastewater Association (CWWA) Trinidad and Tobago (T&T) National Section, hosts a public lecture in the area of water management under its “Professional Perspectives” series.

Integrated Urban Water Management (IUWM) is an urban focused approach to the IWRM vision. IUWM provides a framework for interventions over the entire water cycle and a reconsideration of the way water is used (and reused) in urban areas so that water security can be further achieved.

The international Institute for Water Engineering and Environment (2IE) in collaboration with DHI organized a training session on Integrated Water Resources Management and Environment. The training took place from 9 to 20 February 2015 in Ouagadougou for participants from Mali, Niger and Burkina Faso. As it has become an habit GWP West Africa was asked to make a communication on its activities and knowledge products to the participants.

 

On May 15, 2015, Angela Klauschen, Senior Network Officer of GWPO visited GWP China Regional Secretariat in Beijing.

Global Water Partnership (GWP) invites all Partners to its annual GWP Network Meeting on 1 June 2015. This year’s meeting will be held online - GWP Live - broadcast by live stream, with an opportunity to watch a taped version of the event afterwards.

Following the SADC Water Week Conference held at Crossroads Hotel in Lilongwe, Malawi from the 13-15 May, 2015, the Malawi National Youth Water Network (MNYWN) was formed on the 14^th of May, 2015. The setting up of the Network was in line with the SADC program for the African Minister’s Council on Water (AMCOW) Policy and Strategy on Mainstreaming Youth in the Water and Sanitation Sector through the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Water Development, Water Aid and Malawi Water Partnership.
