The successful candidate will contribute in the preparation of the Drin Thematic Report on Pollution

On March 2, 2017, as our loyal regional partner, the World Resources Institute (WRI) will sign the Memorandum of Understanding with GWP China. The signing ceremony will convene top leaders of GWP China and WRI at global level in Beijing.

The 18th session of the Bamako Forum was held on 22 to 24 February 2018 around the topic “Land use planning in the Sahel-Saharan region: a factor for security, development and peace ".

The Orange-Senqu River Basin is a transboundary water resource shared by Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia and South Africa, managed by the Orange–Senqu River Commission (ORASECOM) - a GWP Southern Africa Partner. The Commission was established in 2000 and in this interview, Executive Secretary Lenka Thamae describes the partnership and issues at hand.

The annual GWP Network Meeting will be held on 11 October at 13.00 Central European Time (CET). Benin has established a Network of Professional Women in the Water and Sanitation Sector (RBFPEA) on 11 May 2018 in Cotonou to promote the involvement of professional women in the implementation of actions and projects and highlight their contribution to the development of the sector. CWP-Benin strongly supported the initiative.

Across India, the magnitude and intensity of extreme weather events like drought and floods is increasing. Such changes in climatic conditions affect a myriad of issues of which, access to water for drinking and domestic purposes and for agriculture affect farmer communities in South India the most, as majority of Indian farmers are dependent on rain fed agriculture.

Guinea partners are still looking for ways to make the CWP stand and achieve results for the benefits of its partners.

The Gambia Country Water Partnership (GCWP) is the youngest of the CWPs in West Africa (officially launched in December 2011) is yet to complete its accreditation process as a partner of Global Water Partnership (GWP). Some actions were undertaken since 2014 which didn’t get through. To facilitate the exchange process with country partners in The Gambia, the Executive Secretary decided that the Communication manager goes to Banjul and prepares with them all the needed documentation for the accreditation to be done as soon as possible.
