The ECOWAS/WRCC accompanied the countries sharing the Comoé, Bia and Tanoé river basins (Mali, Ghana, Burkina Faso, Côte d'Ivoire) in the process of establishing a common authority.
“Enabling Delta Life- increasing cooperation for good governance to enhance climate resilience of communities in delta regions” is the title of the communication made by Dr. Fabien Hountondji, GWP WA Technical Committee member who represented the region at the Adaptation Future Conference 2018 in Cape Town, South Africa.
The water situation in Venezuela remains critical, both in quality and quantity. In a recent national television interview, Yazenia Frontado, Chair of GWP Venezuela and Vice Chair of GWP South America, spoke about GWP Venezuela’s work to revert this situation.
The AIP Technical Advisor will be responsible for leading the entire cycle of AIP programme development and coordination with the African Union, NEPAD, UNECA and AMCOW. S/he will pay particular attention to balancing the Pan African political and technical requirements for the full operationalisation of the AIP; and ensure alignment of AIP to the AU/NEPAD, UNECA and AMCOW pan African water agenda.

On 25 March 2019, the Southern African Development Community (SADC) convened a Gender Mainstreaming in the Water Sector Project Preparation and Financing Clinic in Johannesburg, South Africa. The workshop, organised with support from the Global Water Partnership Southern Africa (GWPSA), brought together financiers, project developers/promoters, project implementers, gender focal points and gender machinery from the 16 SADC countries to discuss practical issues with regards to gender mainstreaming during project preparation and mobilising financing processes.
After being registered at the Ministry of Civil Affairs as an independent legal organization in March, 2016, GWP China is capable of expanding professional areas.
