GWP representatives from global, regional, and country level took part in 27 different public sessions at this year’s World Water Week in Stockholm, Sweden, 26-31 August. Sessions covered a full range of topics, such as Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM), ecosystems, urban, migration, drought, financing, transboundary, youth, etc. The GWP booth also had themes every day of the week, which included capturing the voices of the visitors, and networking.
The Third Regional Steering Committee for the DRESS-EA project took place on 12th October 2022, in Nairobi, Kenya, and was attended by a cross section of representatives from the Governments of the four project executing entities, Djibouti, Kenya, Sudan and Uganda, as well as the observers from the implementing entity, the Sahara and Sahel Observatory (OSS)
GWP Central America and LatinClima, with the support of AECID, CATIE, Earth Journalism Network and MINAE Costa Rica, have organised an online course for Latin American journalists and communicators on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) with emphasis on water and climate change.
Aiming to make the youth’s voice heard in view of integrated water resources management, climate change adaptation and sustainable development, GWP-Med facilitates a youth dialogue entitled “Tunisia Youth mobilized for water and climate”. The dialogue started with a first workshop on 26th December 2017 and is continuing with a second workshop on the 25th May 2018, Tunis, Tunisia.
