GWP has committed to “building a water secured world” via its unique property--multiple-stakeholders participation (MSP). Over twenty years, the diverse network of GWP has depended on MSP that helps GWP promote its vision and missions, and set up partnerships with different organisations from 84 countries. WWF8 appears a festival to GWP and all concerning water issues who gathered in Brazil which is the 5th largest country with 85% vegetation, to exchange theories, practical lessons and achievements and develop networking.
The Summer School „Towards 2030 Agenda: A summer school for climate change, innovation and youth advocacy in water management“ took place on 1- 6 July 2018 at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences in Warsaw, Poland.
GWP Senior Network Officer (SNO) Julienne ROUX took the opportunity of her stay in Ouagadougou to meet and get to know some of GWP/WA's strategic partners. A draft water charter was submitted for review by the Volta Basin Authority during a national workshop held on 05 and 06 July 2018 in Grand Bassam. The official ceremony was chaired by the Minister of Water and Forestry (MINEF), represented by Colonel ME Kouamé Martial, Deputy Director of Cabinet of the MINEF.
The Partnership Secretariat is hosted by the Global Water Partnership in Pretoria. The Secretariat coordinates partnership activities at the continent level, working closely with and under the continuous guidance of the founding members including DEAs and NDAs.
