IUCN-PACO and Global Water Partnership West Africa (GWP-WA) announced the winners of the 2nd edition of the Journalism competition « Water and Environment". The topic of the competition is "Water, an endangered resource, what solutions for the future? "
A training will be held by the Global Water Partnership - Mediterranean (GWP-Med), in partnership with the African Center for Training of Journalists and Communicators (CAPJC), and the Association Children of the Earth Network (ARET), on December, 23-24, 2014, in Tunis, Tunisia.
Dr. Natalie Boodram, Programme Manager of the GWP-C Water, Climate and Development Programme (WACDEP) for the Caribbean, will be presenting two specialist lectures at The University of the West Indies (UWI), St. Augustine Campus in Trinidad on April 3rd and 7th, 2014 at 8:00 a.m. - 8:50 a.m.
GWP Ghana, in collaboration with the Water Resources Commission, hosted the 7th WACDEP Technical Coordination Workshop. The workshop took place in Accra, Ghana, from 5th to 7th October 2015.

Mongolia was recently established as a GWP Country Water Partnership (CWP). Professor Davaa Basandorj is the Executive Director of the new CWP. He says that the biggest water problem in Mongolia is water shortage, and that the water management in the country has to be improved.
GWP held a press briefing at the UNFCCC COP20 conference in Lima, Peru, on Tuesday 9 December. The delegates reiterated the GWP network’s firm support of a dedicated water goal on the post-2015 development agenda. The Water, Climate and Development Programme (WACDEP) was highlighted as an important tool to combat water related problems in connection with climate change.
The Consultation Framework of Non State Actors in the water and sanitation sector in Benin organized the 4th edition of the Media Wash Café to share with journalists the results management of the sector water and sanitation in 2014.
