The Regional Workshop on South-South Cooperation in Flood Management organised by GWPO and GWP China was held from 14 to 16 December 2015 in Guangdong, China.
Global Water Partnership – Eastern Africa (GWP-EAf) will be hosting the 5th Water, Climate and Development Programme for Africa (WACDEP) Technical Coordination Workshop. The workshop will be held in Kigali, Rwanda from 23–28 September 2013.
CCRIF SPC formerly the Caribbean Catastrophe Risk Insurance Facility is inviting applications for its 2015 CCRIF Regional Internship Programme. The programme provides work experience in areas related to disaster risk management.
Some members of the Francophone youth for water initiative took part in the 14th edition of the international youth work camp from 23 July to 3 August 2015 in Burkina Faso. The theme of the camp was "youth leadership and responsible citizenship." In this context, the WYPW- Africa was represented by 15 young participants from neighboring countries (Benin, Mali, Niger, Ivory Coast and Togo) and a similar number of young people living in Burkina Faso with the support of the NGO Eau Vive.
In 2014 GWP Philippines carried out advocacy work to promote Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM), targeting the youth and local government officials and other concerned stakeholders.
The IDMP project coordination unit decided to entrust the review of national initiatives to the CWPs of Burkina Faso and Mali through the agreements that have been signed.
This year’s UN Climate Change Conference (COP19) brought some good news for the water community, said the GWP delegates who participated at the event in Warsaw, Poland 11-22 November.
