GWP has presented its contribution to the Global Framework for Climate Services (GFCS) at the 17th World Meteorological Congress in Geneva.
The Institute of Applied Science at the Malta College of Arts, Science & Technology (MCAST) opened its doors to the public, on Thursday, 26 March, for the inauguration of its newly installed greywater recycling system and green roof, at the presence of Hon. Chris Agius, Parliamentary Secretary for Research, Innovation, Youth & Sport, and Prof. Michael Scoullos, Chairman of the Global Water Partnership – Mediterranean (GWP-Med).

On May 19, 2015, the 2015 World Hydropower Congress was opened in Beijing, China, with 1,000 representatives of the government, civil society, finance, academia and industry gathering to discuss the future direction of the sector. Prof. Wang Hao, Acting Chair of GWP China Region and Angela Klauschen, Senior Network Officer of GWPO, participated in the Congress.
From 15-17th August, 2016, the Global Water Partnership Southern Africa conveyed Water Demand Management skills to a group of Masters Students undertaking the Water Demand Management Module being offered at the University of Western Cape. By virtue of the University of Western Cape being a WaterNet member, and GWPSA’s close affiliation to WaterNet, the 2 institutions were able to work together to build human capacity in Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM).
What does GWP do? It works for the sustainable management of the world’s water resources, from local to global level. We are “ambassadors” for water, speaking up for the resource itself, stepping in and facilitating change that will improve the way water is managed and used.
GWP China representatives were at the 7th World Water Forum in Korea in April, taking part in many of the events and sessions of the conference. In addition to delegates from the regional secretariat, some experts from GWP China Regional Water Partnerships were actively facilitating the processes.
On August 26 to 28, 2014, with the support of GWP China, GWP China Hebei Provincial Water Partnership, jointly with Hebei Provincial Association of Sci-Tech and Handan Water Bureau, organized the “Forum of Climate Change Adaptation and Water Ecology Construction” in Handan City, Hebei Province.
A training will be held by the Global Water Partnership - Mediterranean (GWP-Med), in partnership with the African Center for Training of Journalists and Communicators (CAPJC), and the Association Children of the Earth Network (ARET), on December, 23-24, 2014, in Tunis, Tunisia.
