The Global Water Partnership - Mediterranean (GWP-Med) is seeking to hire an expert from Drin Riparian Countries to provide Water Quality Surveillance Monitoring and Sampling Training in Albania.

IUCN-PACO organized from May 18 to 21, 2016 in Leo, Burkina Faso, in collaboration with the Volta Bassin Authority (VBA), and GWP / WA a workshop to develop the outline of the concept note on the conservation and restoring of conserving and restoring ecosystem functioning in the Volta basin.

The GWP Latin American International Water Law Training Programme held a successful VIII edition of a regional workshop with focus on La Plata Basin on 26-29 September. It was attended by 23 participants from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, Guatemala, Panama, Paraguay, and Uruguay, most of them from public institutions.

Global Water Partnership (GWP) welcomes the aspirational 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development adopted by Member States at the UN General Assembly on September 25, 2015. The transformational vision of the agenda is ambitious and will need an unwavering commitment on the part of everyone. GWP SAS will play its part.

Building water security and climate resilience into development activities is key to achieving long-term sustainability, but requires much higher levels of investment than at present. This policy brief presents innovative approaches to financing, which are needed to make sufficient funding available. Policy briefs provide policy makers with information on water resources management. This brief was developed under the Water, Climate and Development Programme (WACDEP).
