Dr Khondaker Azharul Haq represented GWP South Asia at the Side Event 7 on Powerful Alliance: Multi-stakeholders Platform (MSP) contributions on food and water security processes in Asia held on 3 September at the 3rd World Irrigation Forum (WIF), in Bali, Indonesia.
Ozwater is the Australian Water Association’s international water conference and trade exhibition. This year it's held 7-9 May in Melbourne, with focus on "Transforming our World".
Several events will take place as part of the Korea Global Adaptation Week on 8-12 April in Songdo, Republic of Korea. GWP will play an active role in a number of sessions throughout the week.
GWP is collaborating with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) secretariat and other partners to create a vision and plausible water solutions of a desirable climate-resilient future in 2030 and beyond. The new initiative is called "Water Resilience Frontiers: Pathways for transformational Climate Resilient Water Security in 2030 and Beyond". The initiative is part of the UNFCCC Nairobi Work Programme’s Resilience Frontiers. The UNFCCC is convening a Resilience Lab for the duration of COP25. Mandaue City 24 November 2018 -- Philippines successfully organized a session during the 4th International River Summit “raising awareness, commitment and resources for the rivers”. The aim of the session was to articulate various experiences from experts on how IWRM complement river management initiatives.

The Executive Secretary of Ghana Country Water Partnership participated from 6th to 9th May 2019, in the meeting of the Technical Committee of Experts of the Volta Basin Authority at Coconut Grove Hotel in Accra, Ghana. About forty (40) participants were present, drawn from the six (6) riparian States of the basin, notably the focal points of the VBA in the countries and technical and financial partners including the IUCN, GWP-WA, UEMOA, and Water Integrity Network (WIN). Also, technical structures from Ghana participated in the meeting.

UN Secretary-General António Guterres has invited leaders to New York on 23 September for one week to boost ambition and accelerate actions to implement the Paris Agreement on Climate Change. GWP will be present during the week and is calling on its network to participate in the climate strikes.
