Visegrad Fund funded project support transfer of knowledge and lessons learned from the successful cooperation on drought from the Visegrad Countries. The World Meteorological Organisation (WMO), the Volta Basin Authority (VBA) and Global Water Partnership West Africa (GWP-WA), in collaboration with IUCN, organised and held six (6) national capacity building workshops for Volta Basin stakeholders on Nature-based Solutions for the development of bankable projects and the mobilisation of funding for their implementation in national and Volta Basin-wide portions.
Between April and October 2023, UN Member States will take stock and report their progress on implementing the integrated water resources management (IWRM) target under the SDGs. GWP, through the SDG 6 IWRM Support Programme, will assist countries in facilitating multi-stakeholder consultations to assess and report on their progress on SDG indicator 6.5.1.
