Songsan, 6 July 2023--The Water Changemaker Innovation Awards 2023 have officially been launched during the kick-off of the largest gathering on water in Asia, the International Asian Water Week in South Korea.
The Southern African Development Community (SADC) Secretariat has installed portable handwashing facilities at the Beitbridge border post on the Zimbabwean side of its border with South Africa, at Chirundu Border Post between Zimbabwe and Zambia, at Nakonde/Tunduma one stop border post between Zambia and the United Republic of Tanzania, and at Songwe/Kasumulu border crossing between Malawi and Tanzania.

On Friday, 30 June 2023, the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) Secretariat handed over a climate-smart agriculture pilot project to Metsimotlhabe Community Trust in Botswana. The project was officially handed over to the community by Mr. Nchidzi Mmolawa, Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Lands and Water Affairs, who was the Guest of Honour at the event.
The regional coordination including the International Water Secretariat (ISW) and Global Water Partnership West Africa (GWP-WA), the national coordination composed of the Country Water Partnership of Benin, the Country Water Partnership of Burkina Faso and the NGO Young Volunteers for the Environment (YVE) Togo met with the delegates of the youth groups from the three countries during a regional meeting from 12 to 16 September 2022, in Natitingou, Northern Benin.
