The "Zero Drop" water resources protection program, implemented by Global Water Partnership - Mediterranean (GWP-Med) in collaboration with the Municipality of Heraklion, with funding from The Coca-Cola Foundation and Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company, traveled to Heraklion, Crete to save 14.5 million liters of water annually by improving irrigation and water supply systems at five locations.

As part of the implementation of the activities of the project "Integrating Flood and Drought Management and Early Warning for Climate Change Adaptation in the Volta Basin (VFDM)", the VBA in collaboration with WMO, GWP-WA and IUCN organised and held six (6) national technical workshops on nature-based solutions for the development of bankable projects to mobilise funding for implementation in the national portions and at the scale of the entire Volta basin.
