The Ministry of the Environment, Water and Sanitation is organising the 4th National Water and Sanitation Forum from 22 to 24 April 2024 under the theme "Water: Factor of Resilience, Peace and Development".
Zambian Youth representatives from Government agencies, private sector, civil society organizations, academic and research institutions, cooperating partners, and the media convened in Lusaka, Zambia on 31 July 2023 for a Youth Dialogue on Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6 on Clean Water and Sanitation. The Dialogue was organised by the Global Water Partnership (GWP) Zambia.
After three years of intensive work, the GEMWET project has successfully concluded, proving that environmental conservation and sustainable development is a win-win recipe that benefits communities, promotes economic prosperity and ensures the protection of natural resources.

It is well known that one of the challenges in all developing countries is the mobilization of resources to finance the sustainable management of water resources. "This is why Burkina Faso has adopted the principles of environmental taxation of the country, which is called the CFE," explains Mr. Firmin W. OUEDRAOGO of SP / IWRM.

The latest Transboundary Freshwater Security Governance online event, ‘Indigenous people in the governance of transboundary waters,’ was held on 15 September 2022. More than 80 participants from around the world took part in the interactive session to explore how to better involve indigenous people in the governance of transboundary waters.
