Soroptimist International of the Southwest Pacific (SISWP), Women for Water Partnership, and Netwwater are organising a digital event on 26 July on the theme "Women, Water, Climate: The Way Forward". The event is a follow-up to a series on the same theme last year.
Communities living along Metsimotlhabe River in Botswana are excited with a climate-resilient Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) project that seeks to strengthen their resolve against effects of climate change and improve their livelihoods.
GWP-Med in partnership with the Palestinian Water Authority (PWA) led activities in Palestine for the GWL Programme, a global initiative supporting emerging leadership for improved water, sanitation and hygiene services, and climate resilience. On 30 September 2021, the day following his designation as new chair od GWP-WA, Mr. Abdoulaye SENE officially took up office after hand over ceremony with the outgoing chair, Prof. Amadou Hama MAIGA.
Following the workshop to re-launch the PANGIRE Steering Committee held on August 17 and 18 in Cotonou, the Benin Water Directorate, with the technical and financial support of Global Water Partnership West Africa (GWP-WA) and the Benin Country Water Partnership (CWP-Benin) through the Water, Climate, Development and Gender Equality Program (WACDEP-G), launched the work of the workshop of extended consultation of national actors for the assessment of the 2nd phase of the National Action Plan for Integrated Water Resources Management (PANGIRE) of Benin and Proposals of actions for the 3rd phase.
