The regional coordination including the International Water Secretariat (ISW) and Global Water Partnership West Africa (GWP-WA), the national coordination composed of the Country Water Partnership of Benin, the Country Water Partnership of Burkina Faso and the NGO Young Volunteers for the Environment (YVE) Togo met with the delegates of the youth groups from the three countries during a regional meeting from 12 to 16 September 2022, in Natitingou, Northern Benin.
The health of the world’s rivers and oceans is interconnected and critically threatened. There is an urgent need for more meaningful action across the source-to-sea continuum.

The 9th World Water Forum held in Dakar from 21 to 26 March 2022 under the theme “Water Security for Peace and Development” focusing four priorities, which are «Water and Sanitation Security», «Water for Rural Development», «Cooperation» and «Tools and Resources».
Zambian Youth representatives from Government agencies, private sector, civil society organizations, academic and research institutions, cooperating partners, and the media convened in Lusaka, Zambia on 31 July 2023 for a Youth Dialogue on Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6 on Clean Water and Sanitation. The Dialogue was organised by the Global Water Partnership (GWP) Zambia.
A delegation from the Ministry of Water and Sanitation (MH/A) of Niger went on a study tour to Burkina Faso from 19 to 23 December 2022. The delegation led by the Secretary General of the MH/A, Mr. Maman Moussa included the Director of Legislation of the MH/A, Mrs. Ibrahima Naleyni Nana Mariama and the Permanent Secretary of the National Action Plan for Integrated Water Resources Management (PANGIRE) of Niger, Dr. Sandao Issoufou.
Water must be at the core of effective climate action, but many countries are unaware of the powerful water-related solutions that exist. To remedy this, the global water community is speaking with one voice at the upcoming UNFCCC COP 26 Climate Change Conference by hosting a joint Water Pavilion.
