GWP SAS Water Academy for Youth (WAY) 2022

GWP SAS WAY Programme is planned from 25 September to 30 November 2022 with the theme “Riverscapes and Riverine Ecosystems”. We are calling applications from eligible youth (18-35 years old) from the region to participate to the training.

Bridging the Aspirations vs. Awareness Gap in Gender Equity

Water projects are six times more efficient when women are part of the team. Yet there are still massive gaps in the employment of women in the water sector, particularly for jobs that are onsite or require a strong science background. On 22 September, GWP collaborated with Community of Women in Water (CWiW) and World Bank Equal Aqua on a virtual event that discussed how to support women to join and thrive in the water sector.

#TonfuturTonClimat successes grounded in the countries

The regional project manager #YourFutureYourClimate (TonFuturTonClimat) and the communication officer made field visits to Togo and Benin to monitor the implementation of this project funded by the Government of Quebec, GWP, ISW and its partners. It is implemented in the countries by CWP Benin, CWP Burkina and the NGO YVE in Togo under the regional coordination of GWP-WA and ISW.

Mobilising Finance for Transboundary Water – RWP and CWP Exchange

Join GWP for the online interactive session on transboundary financing which takes place on 14 October 2021 at 14:00 – 16:30 CEST. If you are interested to explore key funding ‘windows’ for transboundary water, various financing options and ‘e-meet’ new friends and colleagues in this area, this event will provide perfect learning and networking opportunities, especially for GWP colleagues from the Regional Water Partnerships (RWPs) and Country Water Partnerships (CWPs).

European River Symposium 2021

The 2021 European River Symposium is scheduled for 26-27 May. The event will focus on building connections between institutions, organisations and companies with an interest in rivers and whose activities affect the health and quality of river water and ecosystems.
