GWP China Senior TEC Advisor, Guoliang CHEN, former Chair of GWP China Fujian and member of the Standing Committee of the ninth Fujian Provincial People's Congress, donated his publication "Drink Water from The Same River - 23 Years of Water Sharing Between Fujian & Taiwan" to the Fujian-Taiwan Museum in Quanzhou, Fujian Province, late February 2022.
GWP-WA through the Country Water Partnership of Benin (PNE Benin), organized together with the General Directorate of the National Fund for Environment and Climate (FNEC) of the Ministry of the Living Environment and Sustainable Development (MCVDD) the Benin Stakeholders' Workshop on the formulation of the Country Water Climate Development and Gender Equality (AIP WACDEP G 2020-2022) on October 28 and 29, 2020. The main objective of the workshop was to develop the Benin draft document for the AIP WACDEP- G Program 2020-2022.
As an official intergovernmental observer to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and a core partner of COP27’s Water Pavilion, GWP actively prepared for this year’s COP by promoting discussion of the vital role of good water management for increasing climate resilience throughout the year.
World Food Day is celebrated annually around 16 October. The 2020 edition is calling for global solidarity to help all populations, and especially the most vulnerable, to recover from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, and to make food systems more resilient and robust so they can withstand increasing volatility and climate shocks, deliver affordable and sustainable healthy diets for all, and decent livelihoods for food system workers.
