The Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) will be offering two (2) capacity building courses targeted at Caribbean children to commemorate World Toilet Day 2021.
Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) face greater challenges in ensuring water security for all and by all. Although LAC is a water-abundant region, water is not easily and equally available to all citizens and users. Water in the region is often found in rural and natural areas, while the most populated urban areas report water stress levels above 80% for periods ranging from 3 to 12 months per year.

Multi stakeholders involved in Integrated Catchment Management (ICM) vowed their commitment and sustainability initiatives and acceleration of collaborations to restore land and water resources in the mountain kingdom of Lesotho during the ReNOKA Operational Planning (OP) process in Maseru.The stakeholders from NGO’s, private and public sectors, made this commitment after coming together to discuss the issues of natural resources management and pledged to work together during a two-day workshop that began on 23 November 2022.
CWP Benin has just released a new film on its work aiming at processing invasive aquatic plants, the water jacinth. The CWP is planning to collaborate with a Nigerian entrepeneur that is developing and promoting green energy and biofuel, SMEFUNDS. The aim is the production and marketing of ethanol gel.
The Masungi Georeserve was announced winners of the Water ChangeMaker Awards in a ceremony at the Climate Adaptation Summit on 25 January. Their project is about restoring forgotten watersheds through youth-led movements. On 4 March the team behind the success joins us for a Facebook Live session to share their experiences.
