GWP’s VISION is a water secure world. Our MISSION is to advance governance and management of water resources for sustainable and equitable development.

OUR UNIQUE VALUE: GWP mobilises action on the global water crisis through a unique combination of social capital, shared values, credibility within the global water community, bottom-up orientation, and expertise. A network of networks, we ensure the ‘voices of water’ can inﬂuence local, national, regional, and global development priorities. We are committed to our role as a neutral convener and respected for our focus on inclusiveness and sustainability.

GWP Regions

This is where you can find links to the websites of our Regional Water Partnerships (RWPs). RWPs are closest to the countries where we work. They share knowledge and learning across national boundaries and are expected to have an open, inclusive, and gender-sensitive policies for bringing together as wide a group of stakeholders as possible to solve water problems.

GWP and GCF sign USD 2 million Grant Agreement for Zambia’s National Adaptation Planning process

On 3 June 2020, during the Annual GWP Regional Days, the Global Water Partnership (GWP) and the Green Climate Fund (GCF) signed a USD 2,184,555 Grant for Readiness Support to the Zambia National Adaptation Plan (NAP) on Climate Resilience. The Grant was signed by Dr Monika Weber Fahr, GWPO Executive Secretary and CEO and Pa Ousman Jarju, Director for the GCF Division of Country Programming.

Canadian interns visiting #TFTC's activities in Togo

Since inception in 2018, #TonFuturTonClimat has been implemented in Togo through the Youth Support Project for the Protection of the Environment, Water and Soil (PAJPEES) in Danyi-Apéyémé. GWP Central Africa (GWP-CAf) supports the monitoring and implementation of Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) in the sub-region. To ensure progress in IWRM, GWP-CAf has been supporting states since 2018 in the monitoring of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) indicator 6.5.1, and is providing further support in identifying obstacles hindering, and key activities required to accelerate IWRM implementation in the short (2021), medium (2025) and long (2030) term in Central Africa.
