The Mekrou Project Phase 2 Niger has purchased hydrogeological equipment that were offered to the Ministry of Hydraulics and Sanitation for the monitoring of water resources.
On Friday, 30 June 2023, the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) Secretariat handed over a climate-smart agriculture pilot project to Metsimotlhabe Community Trust in Botswana. The project was officially handed over to the community by Mr. Nchidzi Mmolawa, Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Lands and Water Affairs, who was the Guest of Honour at the event.

An International High-Level Panel on Water Investments for Africa, which draws representatives from current and former Heads of State as well as other global leaders, has been launched at the 9th World Water Forum in Dakar, Senegal.
GWP CEE Regional Chair, Prof. Dr. Tjasa Griessler Bulc, represented the organization at the UN Water Conference 2023. We asked Dr. Bulc about her experience and future impact of the venue on the participating organizations and their peers.

To ensure ownership of the results of the implementation of the initiative "Support to the empowerment of women farmers for the reinforcement of the climatic resilience of local communities in the Tchoutchoubou micro-basin in North Benin", the Water, Climate, Development and Gender Equality Programme (WACDEP G) implemented by the Benin Country Water Partnership (CWP Benin) in collaboration with the main implementing stakeholders, held a workshop on 21-23 December 2022 to capitalise on the said initiative at the Tanguiéta town hall.
