Benin has established a Network of Professional Women in the Water and Sanitation Sector (RBFPEA) on 11 May 2018 in Cotonou to promote the involvement of professional women in the implementation of actions and projects and highlight their contribution to the development of the sector. CWP-Benin strongly supported the initiative.

On 28 June, a conference dedicated to the conservation and sustainable use of the Danube River in the Northwest Bulgaria was organized in Vratsa, Bulgaria. The event was jointly organized by Global Water Partnership Bulgaria (GWP Bulgaria) and the Regional Administration of Vratsa.
The Southern African Development Community – Groundwater Management Institute (SADC-GMI) will host the 1st Groundwater Conference in Johannesburg, South Africa.
GWP held its annual Regional Days meeting on 23-25 May in Budapest, Hungary. This was followed by meetings of the GWP Steering Committee, Financing Partners Group, and Sponsoring Partners in Stockholm, Sweden on 11-14 June. All meetings were focused on launching the process for developing GWP’s new strategy.
