Third Climate Services User Forum for the Water Sector (CSUF-Water-3) in South Asia 27-28 April 2016

The 3rd Climate Services User Forum for the Water Sector (CSUF-Water-3) held from 27 to 28 April in Colombo, Sri Lanka was successfully concluded yesterday, 28 April 2016.

The meeting was organised by World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and Global Water Partnership South Asia (GWP SAS) in association with WMO’s Eighth Session of the South Asian Climate Outlook Forum (SASCOF-8) which was hosted by Department of Meteorology of Sri Lanka.

The CSUF-Water-3 brought together climatologists from meteorological authorities and water managers from irrigation, drinking water, power and energy, disaster management sectors of  Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka to develop better synergy between water community and climate community within South Asian countries with the long-term objective of making best use of the climate services and information provided through SASCOF efforts, and otherwise available in the region.
