GWPSA partners with more than 300 organisations that share its aims and values in tackling the sustainable development, management, and use of water resources. Partners share information and experiences, and draw on each other for advice and assistance. Benefits of partnering with GWP include interacting with other Partners in identifying critical water issues and shaping the IWRM approach at regional and national level.
The interdependence between Water, Energy and Food security (WEF) offers opportunities for stronger collaboration among the three sectors, which is crucial for regional development.

GWPSAF was a partner in the SADC Workshop on Mainstreaming Gender in the Water Sector, that was held in Lilongwe Malawi on the 11 and 12 October 2018, back to back with the Zambezi River Basin Stakeholder’s Forum. It brought together the Gender Focal Points in the water sector, Directors in the water sector and SADC Gender Machinery Representatives from the 16 SADC Member States.
