GWPSA partners with more than 300 organisations that share its aims and values in tackling the sustainable development, management, and use of water resources. Partners share information and experiences, and draw on each other for advice and assistance. The Project Preparation Partnership has been established to provide a structured resource for African countries to access continued strategic and technical support in prioritization and preparation of climate resilient water projects for financing by the Green Climate Fund and other climate related funds. The SADC Secretariat, with support from GWPSA, established a regional network of youth representatives to foster integrated planning and implementation through the Water, Energy, Food (WEF) Nexus. The SADC Water Energy Food Nexus Youth Innovation Network was announced during the 9th SADC Multi-Stakeholder WEF Nexus Dialogue in Johannesburg, with 16 Representatives from each SADC member state. The Southern Africa Development Community (SADC), with the support of GWPSA convened the SADC Multi-Stakeholder Water, Energy, Food (WEF) Nexus Dialogue from 26-27 March 2019 in Johannesburg, South Africa at the Capital on the Park. The Government of the Republic of South Africa, through the Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS) hosted policymakers, researchers and academia, the private sector and civil society representing the 16 SADC states.
