World Water Day will be commemorated on March 22nd, as it has been since 1993. The day is dedicated to emphasize the value of freshwater. UN-Water is leading a campaign to make groundwater visible in 2022. Although groundwater may be out of sight, its impact is visible everywhere.

Bali, Indonesia | August 15, 2025 – The Young AgroEcoVisionary 2025 international student competition gathered bright young innovators from ASEAN universities to design practical environmental solutions for the region. Held from 2–17 August 2025 in Bali, Indonesia, the event combined knowledge exchange, teamwork, and innovation to address pressing issues such as wastewater treatment, sustainable land use, and circular economy approaches.
The Strategic Framework is grounded in a core objective: to provide sustainable WASH service delivery both now and into the future. The emphasis is on climate resilient development, including strengthening the resilience of WASH systems, and on investments to manage current and long-term climate variability.
From 19th to 22nd September 2023, the 4th General Assembly meeting took place, hosted by the University of Milan. The department of Saint-Louis has a large reserve of coastal, continental and artificial wetlands, including the Langue de Barbarie, mudflats, lakes, etc. Indeed, of the nine (9) sites in Senegal included in the list of wetlands of international importance (Ramsar sites), five (5) are located in the Saint-Louis region. These wetlands are currently facing anthropic and climatic constraints.
The International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) has worked on water for food issues for over four decades, and therefore the decision to join the Water ChangeMaker Awards as a Knowledge Partner was a happy one, says Claudia Ringler, Deputy Division Director of IFPRI's Environment and Production Technology Division. According to her, all water decisions affect climate resilience in one way or another.
