Arsenic contamination of groundwater that considered endemic to North Eastern part of India, has now moving into Bihar state poisoning populations in 18 out of 38 districts of Bihar. Ineffective water purification and sewage systems as well as periodic monsoons and flooding in the area exacerbated the situation.
On April 8th, 2019 at the Korea Global Adaptation Week, the Global Water Partnership (GWP) launched the publication “Addressing Water in National Adaptation Plans - Water Supplement to the UNFCCC NAP Technical Guidelines.”

June 13-14, 2022, GWP China Hebei organized the Seminar of "Investigation on Implementation Effect of Water Ecological Environment Regulation in Baiyangdian & Daqing River Basin" in Shijiazhuang, capital of Hebei Province.
