Global Water Partnership (GWP) and the New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD) have established a project to support implementation of PIDA water priority transboundary and hydropower projects.
The Water, Energy, Food (WEF) Nexus is an important vehicle for advancing the socio-economic agenda in Zambia and attaining the national vision 2030, says Zambia permanent Secretary for Water officiating the Water, Energy and Food Nexus National Dialogue for Zambia. The dialogue was held on 14th December 2021 in Lusaka, Zambia to identify national WEF nexus priorities and highlight the benefits of how improved sectoral coordination can accelerate national investment opportunities.
Global Water Partnership West Africa (GWP-WA) in collaboration with the Country Water Partnership (CWP) of Burkina Faso and the Volta Basin Authority (VBA) organized a regional workshop for journalists from Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, Mali, Niger and Togo from 20 to 22 November 2018.
The seventh Africa Water Week was organized in Gabon from 0ctober 29 to November 02 on the theme « Toward Achieving Water Security and Safely Managed Sanitation for Africa”. GWP was one the main session convening institution and GWP WA was represented by the Chair, Prof. Amadou Hama MAIGA and the Executive Secretary, Mr. Armand HOUANYE.
The training programme on the use of the PYTHON programming software, which was launched by the CWP Senegal and the water Pole of the Gaston Berger University of Saint-Louis, continued with the launch of the second phase at the Gaston Berger University.
A delegation of the Executive Directorate of the Mono River Basin Authority (MBA ED) paid a working visit on 26 July 2022 to exchange with the Executive Secretariat of Global Water Partnership West Africa (GWP-WA).
CWP Burkina held the inception meeting of the pilot project #TonFuturTonClimat (TFTC) on 27 and 28 September 2018 in Sapone, about 40km from Ouagadougou. This workshop was to coach the young beneficiaries of the project.
The Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) has partnered with UNEP – Cartagena Convention Secretariat and the Caribbean Environment Programme (CEP), the Centre for Science and Environment (CSE), and Caribbean WaterNet (Cap-Net) to build capacity and drive regional reforms for Integrated Wastewater Management.
The mission of the consulting company/ consortium of consultants is to train stakeholders on GCF protocols, procedures, and requirements, the financial structuring of GCF project proposals, and the roles of the respective stakeholders in the project development and implementation process.
