The annual GWP Network Meeting will be held on 11 October at 13.00 Central European Time (CET). It is a virtual meeting, to be broadcast on the GWP website www.gwp.org – with a special guest message from UN Deputy Secretary General (DSG) Jan Eliasson. Under the Strategic Goal 1 Catalyze Change, the WACDEP Programme of GWP China Region stresses cross-regional cooperation, sector plan optimization, investment on recycling renewable resources, south-south promotion and a good lesson of utilizing the water rights market.

Objective: The objective is to support the efficient execution of the legal, technical, procedural and manage-rial functions required to implement large water investment projects as these frequently consti-tute blockages to development due to their complexity.

The Volta Flood and Doright Management (VFDM) project held two national training workshops on Gender mainstreaming in End-to-End Early Warning System for flood forecasting and integrated flood risk management in the volta basin on 11 to 14 October 2021 in Wa and from 18 to 21 October 2021 in Tamale, Northern Ghana.

Call for abstracts for the session "THE ENVIRONMENT AND SMART CIRCULAR ECONOMY: A NEW GEO MANAGEMENT APPROACH" to be held during the European Geosciences Union (EGU) General Assembly on 3-8 May 2020 in Vienna, Austria.

This month, Howard Bamsey began his duties as the new Chair of GWP. He did so with a visit to the global secretariat in Stockholm, Sweden, where he met staff and got briefed on current issues around the network. We took the opportunity to discuss his thoughts on joining GWP, and his reflections on some of GWP’s most recent activities at the UN climate change conference, COP24, in December.

Bhutan Water Partnership (BhWP) accredited as a Country Water Partnership (CWP), where the CWP has granted the responsibility for coordinating the action of GWP in Bhutan.

The capacity building programme on the resilience of WASH services, started in October 2018 with the sessions on Climate Change and Water Resources Management, ended with the session on strategic planning from the 07th to the 09th of November 2018 in Maroua, Cameroon.

GWP Annual Report Files consist of the annual monitoring summary on: progress markers, logframe indicators, implementation of planned activities and self-assessment on progress around critical GWP functions. By wrapping up the annual performance, all RWPs are requested to draft out the the planned set of activities to be implemented in next year. The work plan files consist of context and workplan summary, detailed workplan and budget.
