GWP Ukraine joined forces with the State Agency of Water Resources of Ukraine to discuss the strategic vision of the water policy of Ukraine.

Dam MOGBANTE, outgoing regional coordinator of GWP West Africa has official handed over to the new coordinator, Armand HOUANYE during a ceremony in GWP WA premises in Ouagadougou on 20 November 2017. Many GWP regional partners including the Volta Basin Authority, CILSS, IUCN, CWP Burkina, ECOWAS/WRCC, GWP regional TEC chair, Steering committee members attended the ceremony.

The book “Hela Wari Purawatha” – a research on Sri Lanka’s history of irrigation from the beginning to modern times in Sinhala was launched by the Mahaweli Centre, and presented to President Maithripala Sirisena at President’s office on the 19 June 2018.

On 30 July 2020, Global Water Partnership Southeast Asia (GWP-SEA) successfully co-organized the HELP-GWP PAN Asia online consultation meeting on Draft Principles on Addressing Water-Related Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) During Covid-19 Pandemic.

The people living along the Lake Nokoué - Porto Novo Lagoon Complex are facing severe problems with te proliferation invasive plants. To help them cope with these problems, CWP-Benin has obtained financing from the Special Climate and Development Fund (CDSF) of the African Development Bank for the implementation of the project "Strengthening Investments for a Climate Change Resilient Development in the Lake Nokoué - Porto Novo Lagoon Complex".
