The implementation of the activities of phase 2 of the TonFuturTonClimat project is continuing in Burkina Faso, Benin and Togo with funding from the Government of Quebec, GWP, Swiss Cooperation, Agence de l'Eau Picardie. Albania has made significant improvements in advancing the normative framework for gender equality in recent years. An online Technical Workshop on Gender Equality (GE) and Sustainable Development in Nexus attempted to discuss how gender is addressed in Nexus sectors’ strategies and policies and bring some concrete best practices on how gender issues can be addressed in development programmes.
The GWP Gender Action Piece was launched in 2017 with the aim to improve gender equality and social inclusion in water resources management. The publication captures the views of 40 experts from around the world and contains four clear action areas to serve as drivers for progress. New language versions are now available: French, Spanish, and Russian. A broader audience is expected to lead to a renewed boost in interest and action.
