Ensuring food security in Cameroon by reducing farmers vulnerability to climate change

To support Cameroon in the implementation of its new national development strategy 2030 which aims in part to ensure food security, the Department of National Meteorology of the Ministry of Transport (MINT) and GWP-Cameroon joined forces with the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) to address climate vulnerabilities in the Far North Region through a practical training of farmers in Meri on the weather, climate, and agriculture from August 18th - 20th, 2021.

Groundwater e-learning

In 2022, the Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources (BGR), as part of the African Groundwater Program (APAGroP) of the African Ministers' Council on Water (AMCOW), supported the African Groundwater Network (AGW-Net), Ask for Water GmbH, and Cap-Net UNDP, in partnership with the Senegalese Country Water Partnership (PNES), to develop and deliver two online courses on groundwater.

Senegal, the CWP participates in a training activity

From 04 to 07 January 2022, the CWP Senegal (PNES) through its Chair has carried out a mission to Matam in the framework of the implementation of the component : "Hydro-agricultural development and protection of water resources", of the development program of the Dioulol watershed implemented by the National Company for the Development and Exploitation of the lands of the Senegal River Delta (SAED) through activities to fight against the silting up of the Dioulol river, which constitutes the source of water for a large number of perimeters including Hamady Ounaré and Orkadiérè rehabilitated during the first phase of the project.

World Water Day 2023, the Water museum mobilises for change

The Water Museum of Burkina Faso in Moutili near the capital city Ouagadougou marked the event with a mobilisation of local communities through various recreational and awareness-raising activities. Several schools of Loumbila and Saaba, the women's group of Moutili mobilized to offer a pleasant and inspired show, rich in sequences.
