The GWP 2021 Network Meeting of Partners took place online on 1 & 2 December under the Theme “Leading Change and Innovation through our Partners”. GWP-Med was actively involved, presenting examples of success stories from its work around the Mediterranean in several Breakout Sessions.
Jointly hosted by GWP and IW:Learn, the session focuses on the potential of regional dialogues to advance transboundary cooperation and explores practical challenges.
Lancang-Mekong area is one of the regions with the greatest development potential in Asia and beyond. 2022 marks the 6th year of the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation (LMC) mechanism.

The Global Water Partnership - Mediterranean is seeking to hire a Senior Programme Officer. The successful candidate will be hired by the Mediterranean Information Office for Environment, Culture and Sustainable Development (MIO-ECSDE), a civil non-profit society based in Greece, in its capacity as Host Institute for GWP-Med.
The national sensitization workshop for stakeholders on the flood and drought risk profile in the Volta Basin of Togo held on 23 to 25 May 2022, in Lomé. This was preceded on 9, 10 and 11 May by the Burkina Faso’s national workshop.
GWP-WA was one of the first institution to show its willingness to support the Mono Basin Authority (MBA) achieve its mandate of sustainably managing the natural resources of the basin by signing a MoU. Communities in the Mono Basin exposed to climate risks, including floods, need their means of adaptation and resilience to climate change to be strengthened through the implementation of the integrated water resources and flood management approach.
