Southern Africa Development Community Member States have embraced the integrated planning and implementation of projects in the water, energy and food (WEF) sectors, with 14 holding national dialogues where they identified priority investment projects that could be taken further for bankability and mobilising financing for Implementation.

The Founding Members of the Coalition are Yayasan Aliansi Wali Sumber Daya Air Indonesia (Alliance for Water Stewardship Indonesia), PT Coca-Cola Indonesia, Danone Indonesia, Global Water Partnership Southeast Asia, PT Indofood Sukses Makmur, Yayasan Konservasi Alam Nusantara (The Nature Conservancy Indonesia), PT L'Oréal Indonesia, PT Multi Bintang Indonesia, PT Nestlé Indonesia, dan PT Unilever Indonesia. Following several discussions, the charter was signed through an online ceremony on the 29 January 2021. To show the coalition’s commitment, a number of events successfully held.

Global Water Partnership had its online ‘Follow the Sun’ consultation on 25-26 June for all regions. Each region had two hours starting with GWP Southern Africa at 12:00 to 14:00 on 25 June and ending with GWP Eastern Africa at 15:00 to 17:00 on 26 June 2019. GWP West Africa had its regional consultation on 26 June 2019 from 10:00 to 12:00 with two country sites (Abidjan and Abuja) participating. Conakry and Banjul could not join because of technical issues related to internet connection on these sites.
From Monday, October 25 to Saturday, November 05, 2021, the Country Water Partnerships of Senegal (PNES) in partnership with UNESCO and the Ministry of Water and Sanitation through its directorates, the DGPRE and the DPGI, organized a training session leading to a certificate on drone piloting. This session was held, alternating between theory and practice.
