AMMAN - Sweden, the Union for the Mediterranean and the Global Water Partnership – Mediterranean, on Monday, 8 May 2023, inaugurated integrated technical solutions for sustainable agriculture in Salt Governorate. On Friday, 30 June 2023, the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) Secretariat handed over a climate-smart agriculture pilot project to Metsimotlhabe Community Trust in Botswana. The project was officially handed over to the community by Mr. Nchidzi Mmolawa, Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Lands and Water Affairs, who was the Guest of Honour at the event.

It also serves as host institution of GWP Slovenia since the establishment of a country office in 2001. This interview describes the company and its partnership with GWP. 

As part of the implementation of the activities of the project "Integrating Flood and Drought Management and Early Warning for Climate Change Adaptation in the Volta Basin (VFDM)", the VBA in collaboration with WMO, GWP-WA and IUCN organised and held six (6) national technical workshops on nature-based solutions for the development of bankable projects to mobilise funding for implementation in the national portions and at the scale of the entire Volta basin.
