From Monday 13 to Saturday 17 May 2019, a delegation from the Water Integrity Network (WIN) visited Benin as part of an exchange mission with the CWP and its partners involved in the fight for integrity in the water and sanitation sector.
In the framework of the UN Decade of Ocean Science, a satellite event will be co-organized by partners of the Action Platform for Source to Sea Management (S2S platform) that include Global Water Partnership, UNESCO-IHP, Secretariat of the Convention on Wetlands, Stockholm International Water Institute. The Starting at the Source to Save the Ocean session will be held on 18 November 2021, at 14:00 (CET) and will explore ways in which freshwater and marine communities can strengthen their collaboration, advancing ocean health.
The International Day of Women and Girls in Science is celebrated on 11 February - it is implemented by UNESCO and UN-Women, in collaboration with institutions and civil society partners. The day aligns with GWP's Gender Strategy, which addresses diversity and inclusion, social equity, and women's role in the integrated and sustainable management of water resources.
Darío Soto-Abril is the Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Global Water Partnership, a global action network focused on the sustainable management of water resources.
