In March 2020, CWP-Benin, and Speak Up Africa (SUA) signed a partnership agreement for a grant of approximately Three million (3,000,000) CFA francs over a period from March to August 2020. This fund is intended to carry out a plea for a better management of the sanitation issue in Benin.
The Southern African Development Community (SADC), with support from the Global Water Partnership Southern Africa (GWPSA) organised the Gender Mainstreaming in the Water Sector Project Preparation and Financing Clinic on 25 March 2019 in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The Country Water Partnership (CWP) of Mali is very much in line in the implementation of IWRM in the country. After sensitizing various categories of actors, the CWP has recruited a consultant to develop provisional IWRM directory report. The consultant was asked to draw up a document called IWRM Directory on good water management practices in the different sectors.

In preparation for the 9th edition of the World Water Forum, to be held in Dakar, Senegal in 2021, the Kick-Off Meeting (Preparatory Process) was held on Thursday 20 and Friday 21 June 2019 in Dakar by the Government of Senegal and the World Water Council. The activity was launched by the Minister of Water and Sanitation of Senegal, Mr. Serigne Mbaye Thiam and the President of the World Water Council, Mr. Loïc Fauchon.
With the technical support of the GWP-CAf, Experts, Directors and representatives of LCBC member states received training on IWRM for better implementation of the Lake Chad Basin Water Charter. The participants made recommendations to advance transboundary cooperation in the Lake Chad Basin.
