SDG 6 IWRM Support Programme in Mali

The SDG 6 IWRM Support Programme was implemented in Mali through the initiative calle "SUPPORTING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF TARGET 6.5 OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOAL (SDG) 6 ON WATER MANAGEMENT IN MALI." A collaborative action between the Country Water Partnership of Mali (PNE MALI) and the Ministry of Energy and Water through the National Directorate of Hydraulics (DNH).

GWP Presents Initiatives to Global Audience at World Water Week

The 2021 edition of World Water Week concluded on 27 August after a packed week of digital events. As in previous years, GWP was engaged in many sessions. One of the milestone announcements of the week was the UN-Water release of the SDG 6 Progress Reports, based on the 2020 Data Drive initiative, which GWP contributed to through the SDG 6 IWRM Support Programme. The message from the launch was clear: we are not on track to meet the 2030 Agenda water goal so we need to urgently accelerate progress. Throughout the week, GWP presented several of its initiatives that aim to do just that.

Mekrou Project enables 25 women to make market gardening in Belandè, Niger

As part of the implementation of the pilot initiatives of the Water Development and Management Plan (SAGE) of the Niger portion of Mékrou, the Mekrou phase 2 Niger project financed by the European Union has rehabilitated the Belandè multi-village mini drinking water supply system with an extension of the standpipes.

Faculty of Engineering, Pancasila University

Dr. Atie Tri Juniati MT is a Senior Lecturer in the Civil Engineering Study Programme of the Faculty of Engineering at the Pancasila University in Jakarta, Indonesia. She has been involved in many GWP Southeast Asia activities over the years, and she is also a current member of the regional Steering Committee. In this interview, she describes Pancasila University and its partnership with GWP, which began in 2006.
